Now that the law school obtained full accreditation and is back on track, it would an absolutely foolish decision to take Marlene out of the bookstore. She's done so much for the law school and its students in that role. She's a treasure to the school.

Marlene was always a delight to see when I walked into my evening classes. She always kept the bookstore open for us part time evening school students to grab a snack before sitting through hours of lecture.

Marlene is the heart and soul of the bookstore and she was always there whenever I needed her (which was a lot). Even though I've graduated, I still stop by to visit and catch up with her. Please keep her!

Marlene was a tremendous help during Law School! She really was the heart of the COL campus - she remembered everyone's name, always had something positive and encouraging to say and was a great resource in the book store!!!

Keep Marlene at ULV she was a friendly face that you could count on when you needed something and was always friendly and helpful. She is an asset to the school and my survival in law school as it was always a hectic time getting books and figuring out your schedule.

Marlene has been a staple at the school since before I made the final decision to attend La Verne. I know that I may go to her for anything. She always has an answer and so willing to assist regarding any matter. Seeing as though Marlene has been removed from the location, I too will no longer patron the bookstore. I will purchase my books elsewhere, and any miscellaneous items I purchase will be purchased elsewhere. I will stand firm in this decision so long as I am attending ULV.

The Vice President of Follett just called me and expressed his apologies for the mistake his company made. He was absolute gentlemen and is reaching out to Marlene to get her back to the bookstore.

Ms. Marlene has been an extremely helpful and supportive to me during my years as a student at the college of law. To lose her as presence on our campus would be a tremendous loss to the law school community. I do not believe this is a result of a well-thought out decision.

Marlene is family. She made my son and myself feel welcomed when I started this law school journey. She is an invaluable person to the college of law. Since Marlene's departure, I have not spent a single cent in the bookstore and will continue to not purchase any more books, snacks, drinks, apparel, etc., until her return.

I graduated ten years ago but still think back of my chats with Marlene as some of my fondest memories at ULV. It's not often that a single person can touch so many lives, but when someone like that comes along, you should recognize the value of that person. Additionally, she was the single reason that I purchased from the bookstore instead of online - where we could have got the books for much cheaper. Hopefully someone will recognize this mistake before it is too late and another company cashes in on ULV's loss and snatches up one of the greatest employees any company has ever had!
