Very disappointing to hear this. Mr Luscombe has been a positive influence on my son and daughter that I put through DMCS and many others. DMCS should reconsider this and realize the loss that will result from this.

As someone who doesn't enjoy math most of the time, Luscombe helped me understand the how's and why's behind concepts. He also understood that my sister and I were different. That her level of skill and mine weren't the same, and he didn't make me feel bad for it.

Mr. Luscombe has worked and still works so hard at our school. He was a blessing to my children. My daughter was not even in his class and he tutored her in algebra 2 during his lunch hour and he was the only one that could help her understand the work.

I graduated from DMCS in 2005. There was no finer teacher at DMC than Clint Luscombe. He taught math well and cared deeply for his students. He made learning fun and demanded a lot from us. He is part of the reason I went in to a math related field. During my time are DMC, Mr. Luscombe's wife passed away. This loss was felt greatly by the student body because of the respect and love we had for him and knew he had for us. I loved my time at DMC and great teachers like Clint Luscombe is the reason why. Thank you!

This is very disappointing to hear. Mr. Luscombe was a wonderful math teacher. He was one of the few teachers that actually prepared me for the level of thinking and work ethic required in college. He also made himself available outside of class to help out with concepts and assignments. This was a tremendous benefit to me as it taught me to be comfortable being proactive and approaching instructors for help, which I did A LOT in college. He is truly a "college-prep" type of teacher that DMC needs to value. Also, "Pass-over, pass-forward. Religious Holiday."

Mr. Luscombe is by far one of the best teachers ever - I had him for several classes in high school, as well as a homeroom teacher, and I babysat for his children. He's a man of integrity, kind, knows math and how to teach it, and maintains discipline, causing his students to respect him. The only reason he should not continue to teach is if HE is ready to retire. Please continue to have him teach!

Mr. Luscombe is one of the best math teachers out there. You should be trying to keep him on past retirement, not shoving him out the door before it.

DMCS should be ashamed . Mr. Luscombe was one of the most difficult teachers I had. However, I truly learned math well and the logic lessons I needed to excel on the LSAT. He was available every lunch to help me through problems I didn’t understand. Call me if you need a lawyer, Mr. Luscombe, I’ll go to bat for you!

Mr. Luscombe is one of the best teachers I had at DMC. He prepared me for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. He not only taught in class, but also helped several of us in his own time before and after school. I still repeat the majority of his sayings and nobody understands what I am saying: "children of Iowa fed corn, pass over pass forward, it's a religious holiday, the ignorance is growing at a rapid rate". Mr. Luscombe's shoes would be pretty tough to fill.

Mr. Luscombe works hard in order to improve his students skills and to make sure the student understands a concept and always comes to class in a great mood

I am a 2005 Alumni for DMCS and hearing this news is utterly heartbreaking to me. Mr. Luscombe was by far one of my favorite teachers, and I believe that the administration of DMCS is doing future students a real disservice by not having Mr. Luscombe amongst their ranks. I don't know if you will ever read this, Mr. Luscombe, but I am a lady in the STEM field and I attribute my success with numbers to the foundation you helped me lay in my impressionable years in Middle School and ultimately High School. You are well loved, regardless of where you are - I hope that for the sake of fuure generations that DMCS reconsiders this horrible decision.

Such a great teacher and taught at a level to prepare me for college. DMC would be losing an asset to the school.
