In order to keep staff and students safe we need to keep schools closed. Until we can get the numbers under control, we can not risk people getting sick.

It is NOT safe right now to open schools. Opening schools puts kids, teachers, school staff, and all their family at risk. Don't do it. Let's open when experts and health professionals deem it safe. Not for politics.

Our priority should be SAFETY. SAFELY open schools when the time is right to do so, not based on some arbitrary date an inhumane administration deems appropriate.

This is the 21st Century, America should be able to keep Children, Parents, Grandparents Educators, and Staff safe from Covid 19.
We have the means, Online Education , if students do not have the equipment the school district should supply tablets and WiFi so students can continue their education safely!

Israel had the virus under control but then they opened the schools and virus rates shot up. Lubbock doesn't have the virus under control yet. For the sake of the health of the entire community, delay opening.

Please keep virtual learning until after yhe first grading period. I have not had enough convincing information from LISD to reassure all procedures are in place for the complete saftey of all involved.

Making the decision now to remain closed for the first grading period not only protects the health of the community, but it allows teachers, staff, and parents to plan accordingly. The constant uncertainty is extremely stressful for everyone, and prevents people from putting their time and resources into effective planning for remote instruction, and for the care of children whose parents need to go out to work.

If it's really deemed necessary to open some schools, start with a few elementary schools, with opt-in for students and for teachers, and with careful monitoring, and with the willingness to shut down if schools are spreading the disease. Mandatory school openings and especially opening middle and high schools where the kids are changing classes are just too dangerous.
Schools should remain closed.
