First they get rid of Michael Tuncap at Green River, and now Cesar and his programs. Outrageous. Please keep this vital member of the Highline College campus and do not continue to erase Black and Brown students from higher education!

Targeted mentorship programs are vital to recruiting groups from low socio-economic means to higher education. I certainly benefited from this model when I made the decision to pursue master's degree. This decision by Highline College is ironic given the demographic in the area. Sometime things just don't make sense.

Please do remove CESAR or the program from Highline! I cant believe this is happening to our community! I have to say he was one of the first person to contact me when apply at highline and he was friend through email and answered all the questions i needed to get myself enrolled to college again. I dont understand why Highline would even consider removing services from a under privilege d community that needs that extra help because of of our parents never went to college! I am requesting for Highline to please reconsider there decision please.

L@che has made a huge and important difference in the lives of so many students. I have seen this first hand. Please fund this critical program that will continue to help Latino students pursue higher education and their dreams.

Stop cutting programs actually helping people reach their goals. Maybe if the money was shared equally between sports and basically all the other programs, the programs like this one and the arts wouldn't be suffering as much as they are.

Cesar's leadership was instrumental in casting a vision for secondary education for Latin@ students. The student group he led was inspiring, engaging, and relevant for the students! Please keep L@che and Cesar Rangel at Highline College. It is a vital bridge from local high schools to college. Thank you.

I've taught at Highline Community College. I've seen the need from the community and the paucity of the college's response. Keep Mr. Rangel in the college. Continue the outreach and mentorship that is so invaluable. Build, don't tear down. Thank you.

Cesar has been one of the best advisors and professors I've had. To lose him would be to lose a greatly motivated person eager to make a change in the community. I would highly urge you all to rethink any decisions that have been made, please don't lose someone as passionate as him!

I have worked with Cesar for the past five years as coordinator for the Latinos United program at Kentwood High School. Cesar and L@CHE have been by far our most valuable community partner. I can say with certainty that because of Cesar, several of my Latin@ students have enrolled at Highline directly, and many more have been inspired by him to pursue higher education. The loss of Cesar and L@CHE will be felt by the community. We must work to support programs that increase equal representation in higher education; not cut them. This is an enormous loss to many students directly, and the community as a whole.

Continously we eliminate programs and people who've created change, affected change, and who go far and beyond for their students and job. Cesar has been an instrument for students with systemic barriers and have advocated for their inequities and such.

I am a faculty member at Green River College. We must support our staff who take on the formidable responsibilities of serving and representing the voices and aspirations of our must vulnerable students, especially first-generation students of color.
