I am a BLA Graduate honored to have been able to graduate on the campus where I spent 4 wonderful years. I also worked in the Arboretum and built an exhibit for the flower show on that campus that is so uniquely suited to the Landscape Architecture and Horticulture programs. We were the class of 2015, the 100th graduating class on Ambler campus, to break that century old tradition would be a grave dishonor to the pioneering women who founded the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture. Please allow this time-honored tradition to continue.

We've been informed that a reception will be provided in the Ambler gardens after the Main Campus graduation. Thoughts on this?

Please consider the impact of moving graduation of Ambler students to any other site! Time, talent, work, energy have been invested there. Friendships and personal growth have developed in Ambler's unique atmosphere that has existed for more than 100 years - curriculum, place, atmosphere, existence given legal protection when Temple University acquired the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture. It will be demeaning to the men and women who are part of the heritage of Ambler Campus to move the ceremony celebrating their achievements from their home campus. It may on paper appear to be more efficient, more economical, more . . but it is without respect and consideration of those graduating this year and in years to come.

As founder and first director, You are making a mistake. The only thing Hort. and LA value above all else is the gardens. You will never get a penny from the alumni that give if you disrupt one of the sacred traditions of those students. Wake up and smell the roses!

Ambler is one of temples best resources. Students of all schools should be encouraged to visit the arboretum for a break from the exiting yet hectic city campus. There is no La horticulture program without the resources of the arboretum.

The environment created on the historic Ambler campus is of unique significance to LAHort students and faculty. The reception in the formal gardens is the perfect setting for such a wonderful day. Adding more students to the main campus ceremony will also lengthen the whole day, and be a further disincentive for other students to attend that ceremony which would be terrible.

I agree. If we studies and have completed our degree on one campus, that is where graduation should be. I feel that the joining with Tyler and the push for everything to be at main campus is pushes a great campus aside. I feel there is not enough promotion of the Ambler campus just a push for main campus and Tyler. Which I have been to neither in order to complete my degree!

So many wonderful memories, I still speak of our arboretum with such pride. I loved being able to bring my family here to show them what an amazing world I was fortunate enough to be a part of.

Ambler campus is dear to my heart, and I was upset to learn that graduation for Landscape Architecture would occur downtown this year. Please keep the ceremony at Ambler.

During the 3 year program, we may never go to main campus. For many of us , we build no connection with main campus. but Ambler will remain special for us forever. Graduation should be part of our Ambler experience.

Graduating from Temple was one of the happiest days of my life. The time that I spent on the Amber campus was a truly wonderful and special time in my life. It is where I honed my passion for horticulture and developed the skills that I would come to use in my future career. Being able to invite my family to celebrate with me in the beautiful formal gardens was such a wonderful experience. I wish that every graduating student could experience this. I see absolutely no reason to discontinue this tradition. I would be deeply disappointed if graduation ceremonies were to be moved. Please continue this unique and special tradition. Thank you.

I graduated from Ambler and my family really enjoyed the campus and it was a lovely example of what I was learning, working on and what LA can do. Most of my family is from the city. My graduation made everything come full circle for them.
