Beatrix Farrand, the designer of the Formal Garden, was the first female landscape architect. It is an honor to graduate within one of her designs!

Temple already deprives students at the ambler campus of adequate food choices and activities. The least they could do is let us have our ceremony at Ambler.

As many landscape architecture students would attest, the Ambler campus is a very special place. We've studied here, we've worked here, we've made friends close enough to consider family here, many of us have lived here, and alumni have enjoyed beautiful graduation ceremonies here. Temple University has already closed our campus dormitories (breaking a commitment made to students who were told we could live on the Ambler campus for four years), and I find it sad and troubling to learn that Temple University is taking further steps to eliminate the uniqueness of our program and of our campus; a uniqueness that drew many of us to Temple in the first place. I stand strongly against eliminating the Ambler campus graduation ceremony and hope that this ill-conceived decision is reversed.

The history of this campus should remain! The students study, work, and help to maintain this beautiful campus, they deserve to have their graduation held here!
