Kratom is legal in most of the world with only a few exceptions. We are a progressive country and kratom is the best weapon against the opioid crises. Please don't take it away from me. It's the only thing which helped my depression...

I use this for chronic pain and chronic insomnia. My sleep has returned to normal while on this product and my pain is manageable. I had been using tylenol 1 and hurting my liver.
At a time when opioids are killing and incapacitating people from living a full life it is insanity to crack down on a plant that grows from the ground. A kratom crack down is the people's government cracking down on pained and vulnerable citizens ability to live a full life and being paid to do it under the guise of protecting its taxpayers. At least regulate it so it is available to consumers.

Its 100% natural - I am an adult, and I should be able to choose to use herbal natural plants.

Helps me function when my depression or anxiety becomes crippling.
It's unparalleled in the improvement of my symptoms especially considering how little my tolerance has gone up for it in as many years versus a benzodiazapams which I occasionally take

I am 59 years old and suffer from Fibromyalgia, DDD , arthritis, RLS and have been able to reduce my use of poisonous prescription painkillers and improve my quality of life and play with my grandchildren. I have never experienced any kind of high, eurphoria or high, merely pain relief with no side effects. The thought of losing this invaluable tool scares me and my children, who value my ability to participate in family life again. Do Not make this plant illegal!!!

So many of my friends are managing their health with Kratom. If it becomes illegal in Canada expect many arrests of adults aged 45+ who simply got sick of being sick. So many chronically ill are treated like drug seekers by physicians when they genuinely need relief - we didn't choose to be sick - at least let us find a way to manage it! This method is safe and has restored the quality of life in so many!

Kratom is a safe, natural plant material which has many benefits. You cannot overdose on it, as it does not cause respiratory depression. In my experience it is non-addictive and easy to stop at any time. It does not contain any strange unknown chemicals. We know kratom is safe because people have been using it safely for thousands of years. There has never been a death attributed to kratom use. With marijuana legalization on the way, a kratom ban would be a step backwards, and would use up a lot of money and resources that could be better used elsewhere. Kratom is not dangerous, and making it illegal would, as with all other psychoactive substances, create a black market, meaning money from kratom sales would go to unsavoury people, like criminal organizations. Kratom has also helped many people wean down off of opiates with less side effects. It is a useful, safe substance which is not associated with any kind of criminal behaviour, or any kind of mental or physical damage. Keep it legal.

For the last 5 years, I had been suffering from severe depression that kept me in bed for sometimes days at a time. After lots of medication failed to help I tried kratom. Suddenly I found myself loving life and doing the things I love again. Please keep it legal!!

If someone thinks this is harmful, please educate yourself. It works better than any painkiller or antidepressant I've ever had. I don't need sleeping pills either because of Kratom. Plus, it's not expensive like prescription medication. And I don't have any side effects except functionality. So why take that away from people?

Not enough people know what Kratom is to come out in droves for every petition. There needs to be a concerted effort. A site that these petitions can be listed on, a social media outreach, that kind of thing.
