Another sad stab in the bodies of our men and women of KO who were, at the time, elected by their peers to represent their teams.
Once again, when I read comments like this, from Dennis Bisgaard, Head of School at KO:
Captains boards are NOT going to disappear! We are in the process of identifying new, best appropriate spaces for them as we have and continue to renovate, enhance and improve athletic areas and spaces - a task force to address best and most appropriate placement is being formed.
That's all from Dennis. I think he missed a few things.
1) Identifying new spaces. Well, they could have used the old spaces before ruining the hockey programs for boys/girls and had some foresight, and tapped some thinkers about how they could have advanced the programs.
2) Task force? How does this force work - and who is on this powerful board?
3) The process of "Identifying" new appropriate spaces for these plaques should take a few hours - not a long process that involves meetings, reviews etc.

Not a smart or strategic move by KO. I suspect that some of us will be withholding donations. Also, maybe they could fix the incorrect spelling of my last name on the soccer board.

why would these boards be removed? I would think tradition would be an important part of a place like Kingswood Oxford and would think that most donors would frown on the disrespect to KO's history

I think it's a disgrace that KO is so easily complacent about its history and traditions. It makes wonder why one should financially support an institution that in future may disregard the intent of contributions!
