Not a good decision for businesses and if you are trying to encourage people to shop local . There are plenty of other areas to ride bikes in Kentville, I can not believe there is such a need. Parking is bad enough, this will effect the local businesses!!!

The dollars it would cost to install putting a bike lane in on Webster Street make no sense to me. In my opinion the “test” bike lane was installed on a section of the Chester Avenue project. I can honestly say I have not seen one biker use it and I travel that section almost every day. So to think constructing a bike lane in the middle of downtown is what the town should spend our tax money on is NOT what I would call responsible spending. I definitely say NO to this.

As one of many seniors in the town I am shocked and appalled with the recent proposal. We seniors, many of whom have mobility issues, need convenience and ease of access to downtown businesses. Please remember the senior population so predominate in town.

Leave the street alone.let the bikers drive as we vehicle drivers do. Same rules and regulations. Let the pay insurance and registration as we do.

This is the dumbest idea I have ever heard this would plug up traffic on Webster street and cause people to go up cornwallis st around the funeral home home to river st totally plugging those streets, it has been 2 lanes on Webster street for years if it ain't broke don't fix it, I don't think there that many bikes in Kentville.

I hate to use this word but “stupid” is all I can think of when hearing about this change! Use River Street! Leave Webster street alone!

There is already too much congestion along Webster street. Reducing it to 1 lane would be a nightmare. Could not a bike lane be added to the bus lane 1 block down? Much better use of space and does not impede traffic.

What's going happen in the winter when kentville can't even keep the mountains of snow off the roads now , this causing major problems for parking and blind spots when driving .

Why not use River Street for example and bypass downtown Kentville. With delivery vehicles and one way streets, taking an entire lane on Webster makes no sense to anyone, and people ARE talking.

The Webster Street route is an extremely bad idea. I would love this in my back yard...behind my property...the Harvest Trail/Justice Way/Station Lane route would be ideal for everyone. I’d even suggest the cost to tax payers would be less and a much more sheltered route from the dangers on Webster Street. Some nice signage for people and rest areas could easily be incorporated to encourage exploring the area. Sacrificing parking and traffic flow could be extremely detrimental to businesses in Town.

If a Nike lane must be added in town then I would suggest the path of the old railway bed.
