Throughout the school year I struggled with depression, anxiety, etc. and at one bad point I was hospitalized. I remember missing the music program and Kastner so much-that man kept me sane. He is there for all of us, he understands us in a "angst teenager" yet sophisticated manner. He also excepted everyone into his classroom, band, chorus, color guard or not. Kastner is not only a great person to talk to, but he makes learning fun. I started playing violin in elementary and I could never keep up with everyone else, this year I played in the percussion section-and even though I missed part of the year, he helped me one-on-one to catch up and become a better and stronger musician. Kastner is great, all the kids love him, even the ones in middle school because of excited the older siblings or cousins get when they mention him. Why would you take out this brilliant man? He's good at his good and can handle all us students.

Chris Kastner waa my mentor when I student taught at North Arlington and I had the pleasure of teaching beside him as the chorus director. He ia a great role model and fantastic teacher. The students he has taught have gone on to be very successful in life and have all come back to show Chris how much they appreciate his hard work. Moving Chris from the hs would be a grave mistake that I hope is reconsidered.

i currently help out as a marching band tech with Chris Kastner and I have never seen someone so caring for his students. He teaches these kids and helps them in any way he can. Whether it be a family problem, school problem, or band related problem. He is one of the best teachers that I have the privilege to know as a friend and colleague. Taking him out of the high school would devastate the students as well as everyone involved with the high school music department. Please, I implore you to reconsider your decision.

Mr.Kastner is an awesome band and music director who has a strong connection with the high schoolers replacing him is like taking away a family member. I say Kastner stays in the High School teaching what he loves to the studets that he loves and they love him in return.

Kastner has single handedly made the high school band what it is today. None of it would be the same if he were in a different position.

Kastner is one of the best teachers in our school and helps guide us and help us grow in so many ways that other teachers can't.

Mr. Kastner was my high school band director and I cannot express the importance I feel that he stay there. Mr. Kastner is a wonderful role model and is very wise when it comes to teaching his students. He doesn't just teach us music, he teaches us values that are essential for life THROUGH music. In a society where many parents ignore their teenagers, Mr. Kastner is ALWAYS there for his students. His expertise and teaching are too advanced for and I wholeheartedly believe would be wasted at an elementary school level. Please Mr. Kastner at the high school!

Love both teachers, but leave them where they are. This move is not in the interest of the students or teachers. It seems to be the work of those not in touch with reality who are just flexing their authority.
