He's been doing a great job got the marching band going strong again and all the children love him even if the don't have him he is there for every child when something works well and bring more kids into music why change a good thing please keep him in the high school where he belongs!!!!!!

I have seen Mr. Kastner working with his students. I have seen the respect they have for him and the joy of music they share with him. I do not know Mr. Mullen. I'm sure he would be a good band director but Mr. Kastner is a great band director.

This is such a abrupt decision and I hope something changes. Kastner is truly something that made the NAHS band a special memory.

I had Kastner for three years as my marching band director but he was so much more than just a marching band director. He was a teacher, an inspiration and a friend. Kastner was always there for his students, regardless of what was going on. Life isn't easy and Kastner helped make everything more enjoyable. His passion for his job is irreplaceable. Kastner put his heart and soul into each and every thing he does: his performances, his concerts, his teaching. Everything. As color guard captain last year, I was able to see the tough things thrown Kastner's way that he would not let the other band students see and let me just say, he could have easily just given up but he never did. He's never given up on this school district. He's never given up on his students. And he's never given up on himself. If there is anyone in the world who deserves to be the high school band director, it is Kastner. He started the family and he has been able to keep that family living on for years. Kastner is truly the type of person every high school student needs. He has motivated me to always do my best and to never give up on myself or the things I truly believe in and I have so much to thank Kastner for. #KeepKastner

I had him as a teacher only my freshman year, but even after that he was by far one of the nicest teachers in the school and I was still able to go talk to him even not being his student.
