This petition is being made in an attempt to reverse the ADMINISTRATIVE decision of switching the positions of Mr. Mullen, our elementary band director, and Mr. Kastner, our high school director. Although Mr. Mullen is very talented and more than qualified to fill this position, Mr. Kastner has 14 years of experience as the high school director not only of concert band but marching band as well and therefore is better suited for the needs of the students. He has helped the children in our program grow exponentially as musicians and as people. Mr. Kastner has forged bonds between students that can never be broken and memories that will last even after high school ends. We would all be extremely discouraged to see him have to leave his position for another. Mr. Kastner donates countless hours just to help the program grow. So, please help us in our cause to keep our band director. Sign and spread the word. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Watching the count climb reminds me why Mr. Kastner has meant so much to my own growth in this program. We need to push harder to reach our first hundred supporters before the board members check the progress again.

Although I was never a student at North Arlington, I attended NAHS events all throughout high school. The band was always spectacular and I would hate to see that change. Many of my friends and people I care about are involved in the band and I support them.
I am an alumni of the North Arlington high school chorus. I disagree that Mr.Kastner should be replaced. He was great with his students and taught at a high potential. Please do not remove him he deserves to stay where he is at today.
I think losing Mr. kastner would be a great loss and would impact many people. my daughter has been working with him for quite a few years now and he's a very talented man and he should stay in high school and continue to positively influence peoples lives.
Love both teachers, but leave them where they are. This move is not in the interest of the students or teachers. It seems to be the work of those not in touch with reality who are just flexing their authority.
kastner was the best teacher I've ever had he loves his job and the kids he teaches, he was there for me as an educational aid to music and as guidance through difficult times, keep him at the high school, that's his home away from home
Keep Kastner, I have nothing but only good words to say about this man. He taught me so much in the 3 years I attended NAHs
Mr. Kastner is more than an excellent teacher, he is a great person.

This mans influence on music education is unlike any other. He is a determined individual who is always working to get the best out of our students. Removing Christopher Kastner from the NAHS Music Program will break the solidarity of both musicianship and trust within this music program.
