From the very 1st time I walked into Margarita Middle school with my oldest child to pick up schedule & rememember seeing Mrs. Hayes & front office of how AMAZING she was & front office. I was AMAZED of how I was treated. As I was kind of nervous for my 1st child transitioning to Middle school now, & that minute with Mrs. Hayes & front desk making me & my daughter feel SO COMFORTABLE & INSTANTLY took away that anxiety for daughter. I can so APPRECIATE a WARM WELCOMING ESPECIALLY in Middle School. That is the kind of feeling YOU as a parent WANT to feel with that new transition. Everytime I would see Mrs. Hayes she would put a smile on my face & for EVERYTHING she does for those kids. Would look forward to her inspiring stories at the end of Award Ceremony. Would brag about her ALL THE TIME what an AMZING & INPRING Principal she is & will continue to do so. DEFINITELY NEED MORE People like her. excuse typing if repeated hard to read 1 line @time.

I had the pleasure of working for Karen Hayes years ago while employed at Margarita Middle School. She was a caring, attentive leader and greatly valued her students' education and well being.

Mrs. Hayes has been an absolute inspiration to my kids and me. I have never met a more caring and personal administrator at any of the schools my kids or I have ever attended. She genuinely cares about her kids and she lifts them to strive to do better. In the day and age, she is a rare gem and I feel it would be a great loss to our community to lose such a person.

Mrs. Hayes is an incredible principal. She ALWAYS puts the interests of the students first. She is always there to help and genuinely cares for all the students. It would be a terrible if Margarita were to lose such a wonderful leader.

Tim Ritter To me Oct 23, 2012 Thank you for sharing the positive experience you and your child are having at MMS under Mrs. Hayes leadership. I will make certain your message is shared w/ Mrs. Hayes. Thank You, Tim ******************************** Tim Ritter, Superintendent Temecula Valley USD 31350 Rancho Vista Rd. Temecula, CA 92592 (951)506- 7904 [email protected] ******************************** >>> marie charron 10/22/2012 4:57 PM >>> Dear Mr. Ritter, Last week we received a phone call message from Mrs. Hayes saying there was to be a school schedule change and it so happened to pertain to our daughter Molly, a 7th grader at Margarita Middle School. The message was to inform parents of this change and the details. Also in the phone message, Mrs. Hayes commented that she was “not very popular with parents” and she apologized. I am writing this letter as I feel very fortunate to have Mrs. Hays as our principal and to say that she is very popular with our family! Please let me give you some back ground on our family first and then tell you why I am writing this letter. We are a military family that moved to Temecula in 2008. That year, our twin boys, William and Jonathan started the 7th grade at Margarita and daughter started at Rancho Elem. We went into each school and filled out the enrollment forms and brought the kids with us. They started school that year and it was the first year that the boys switched classes as in Hawaii where we came from they were still in elementary school in 6th grade. In about Oct, the boys started a program at Margarita for children with low English scores as Mrs. Hayes recognized that my boys needed the extra help and they both joined that class which was an all inclusive class. They graduated 8th grade in 2010 and for a year we had no children at Margarita. On a side note, both boys were tested and diagnosed with Aspergers because of the school psychologist suggesting I have them tested a

The best things that came out of my son's middle school and high school education in Temecula was Mrs. Hayes and the music education. Mrs. Hayes was ALWAYS available to my to meet with her and discuss concerns and educational plans. After my son graduated from Margarita, I would often see her in the community and she remebered usand would always ask follow up questions on my son's progress. Other than the music program, she is probable the only person in the district, where my son spent/sturggled for 7 years, who would know him. It would be a serious loss to the district to lose such a dedicated leader.

Mrs. Hayes is a wonderful principal. Both of our children attended MMS and just loved her. Whenever there was an issue, she was right on top of it. She encouraged our boys to always do the right thing and stand up for what they believe in. I don't think I've ever seen a more beloved principal, in Temecula or anywhere else for that matter. On eighth grade graduation day, the students line up to have their picture taken with her! Her dismissal will be a tremendous loss for the district, the parents, and the students.

I have known Karen for many years. She was the principal for two of my grandkids and they adored her. She deserves better than this. As far as I know, she is one of the finest and fairest principals of the district and beyond. I support her 100 percent.

Karen Hayes is an excellent administrator. My husband and I transferred to Margarita because, as a teacher at the high school, my husband says she is the best middle school principal in the district. She is tough and consistent which is exactly what a campus like hers requires. I wouldn't want to send my daughter to any other middle school but without Karen the spirit that has made this school so successful will be gone.

Karen Hayes is one reason I have chosen to have my daughter attend MMS next year. My son has had such a great experience attending school at MMS. Karen Hayes has provided such a positive environment for our children. Please listen to the parents.

Mrs. Hayes is the reason we went to Margarita Middle School. She personally met with me and 5 other parents assuring us the the transition from a private Christian School would be okay at Margarita. She tested our kids and put them in the appropriate classes. She had an open door policy and the kids loved and respected her. What a huge loss if Temecula lost Karen Hayes...
