The parole board denied the request for release and Joel Daniel will remain incarcerated to complete his full sentence. We will continue to monitor his status in the system to ensure no future early release attempts are successful.

Hi My name is Leticia Gomez. My son Cristiyan Martin Martinez was brutally murdered by a 26 year old man Joel Daniel on May 21, 2011. Cris was a young teenager, only 15 years old. He took a bullet shot to the head and was rushed to Methodist Hospital in Dallas, where he was later pronounced dead.
Joel Daniel's trail was held in August 2013. He was only given a 20 year sentence. Today, February 25,2014 I ask for your assistance in keeping this man behind bars, where he belongs with all the other murderers. He is up for parole review and will soon be faced with the possibility to walk free and roam our city, streets and neighborhoods.
This must not happen. My family and I feel that he needs to complete his FULL sentence.
Please sign if you agree with my family, loved ones, other neighbors and me, that Joel Daniel should complete his 20 year sentence in FULL.

I had a dear friend murdered almost 30 years ago, and her family fights his early release every time it comes up. It is heart breaking to relive her murder every time, but it is so worth it to keep these animals in jail. Glad to sign.
My brother was murdered and his killers were never caught, it kills me to think that they are out there living their lives. Don't let it happen to these people too!

If we do not start holding people accountable for their actions this crazy violence will never stop. May God bless this mother for fighting so hard to do whats right! I hope the judicial system is half as brave as she is and denies this child murders parole!
this murderer needs to stay behind bars its not right how a drug dealer or a robbers get there full time served and these bastards who take another's life get to be free if he took one life he'll do it again we don't need ppl like them on the streets!! i pray that this guy serves his full time.. He not only took a life of an innocent child but he also took somebody's son away a piece of a mothers heart , do not free that monster he must complete his sentence or do life what he did was not right that's just like getting away with murder !!!!!!!
