Mrs. kimball-Sherman wants to stay at Roosevelt and the parents of Roosevelt want her to stay. Please honor everyone's wishes.

There are no words to describe Mrs. Kimball-Sherman except wonderful, engaged and committed. She made learning fun with expectations high for each child. 2 out of my 3 children had her as a teacher, friend and role model. Start listening to the needs of the school and community. My children still know simple sign language today thanks to her.

My two children were lucky to both have Mrs. Kimball Sherman for first grade and she is wonderful, and a huge contributor to a school that has seen too many leadership changes. Please keep her at the Roosevelt!

Losing Mrs. K will be absolutely devastating to the Roosevelt School. I don't think administration realizes what an asset she is! I was co treasurer on the PTO and was amazed at how much this woman cares and loves what she does. I have never been to any school event day or evening where Mrs. K was not present. She is truly the back bone of our school. When my son Daniel entered the first grade it was not an easy adjustment for him going from half day kindergarten to full day. Every single morning she was outside smiling even when the tears were flowing. Growing up in Melrose myself, my husband and I both attended the Beebe school. We never saw such extreme changes in teachers and principals. This turnover is something like a donut shop! Our children need stability, to feel safe and to have love and familiar faces. They will encounter enough politics in their years to come........Please keep Mrs. K where she belongs!

My son Trevor had Joanne Kimball Sherman for his 1st grade teacher at Roosevelt and to this day, in his freshman year in high school, he still has strong memories of her class. This is an exceptional teacher and we need to focus on retaining teachers such as Joanne.

I have had two children pass through Roosevelt, and Mrs. Kimball-Sherman was the first grade teacher for both of them, much to my delight. She remains their favorite teacher to date for a variety of reasons. Had there been more teachers like her, I would not have felt compelled to move my girls to a different school system ultimately. She is indeed the best of the best and remains my favorite teacher of my daughters to date as well. She is dedicated, disciplined, inspiring and talented. That it could even be a thought in the collective "head" of the administration to let her go is beyond incredulous. If she is not one you fight to keep, I don't know who is. Her loss will be felt immeasurably and it is a loss that shouldn't be incurred.

Mrs. Sherman is one of the finest teachers. I know. I woul visit her classroom just to see what new fun and creative ideas she had for the children. When I needed help for my gifted readers she always welcomed them into her classroom. For the superior Teaching she has given to the children of Melrose for so many years

All three of my children had the best experience in first grade - thanks to Joanne Kimball-Sherman. Joanne created a wonderful environment to learn and be happy. She is a cornerstone at the Roosevelt ….

I've been told that the supt.'s action in this matter was punitive because the teacher acting as a union official questioned the principal at the school over a safety issue on behalf of her students

Both my granddaughters had Mrs. Kimball-Sherman as a teacher and loved her. I've met her and she's a wonderful person. Let her stay at the Roosevelt.

My nieces loved mrs Joanne kimball Sherman!!!!!!! They remember her well!!!! They said that she was the best teacher they had all through school!!! They are both in college now!!!! Andrew mcfadden

Michael would not have gotten the help he needed if Mrs. Kimball Sherman wants making sure his IEP was being followed. Her first concern is for the students
