This is detrimental to the trails we all use and enjoy! Utilizing horses to pack tools for maintaining trails has been critical to improving and maintaining said trails! To do this to our riders shows complete lack of respect and would serve to alienate those who work so hard. There are already too many rules and less access to nature.

There should not be multiuse horse trails! Bikers should NOT be on horse trails period! They present a danger to horse riders but also to themselves if the horse spooks & runs over them. Walkers should NOT be on horse trails either for same reasons I indicated above. Horse riders should HAVE designated trails without obstacles like people, dogs, bikes, etc.

This is absurd. Whomever presented this bill needs more education on animals. They are misinformed on equestrians.

Would they prefer we ride a few feet off the trails so our horse's poo won't be ON the trail? The fiber in the poo might keep some of the fines in the dirt stay on the trail rather than wash away......AND it's organic!!

Horses are livestock. They are herd animals. Animals of flight. They are friendly, but they are not pets

Horse poop is ok by me on the trail and horses shouldn’t be lumped in with dogs.

Reclassifying a horse from stock to a pet is ludicrous at best. They are farm animals generally in the 1000 lb plus area used for work, transportation, trail maintenance as well as recreation by riding on its back.... does that even remotely sound like a pet as is commonly noted. Not a chance.

I am unable to leash my dog when riding; however, I do have control via voice commands. I believe they should be on a leash when at the vehicle or trail head if there are other users in the area. This is something that I would like to see and keep as equestrians are running out of places to go to be able to enjoy the trails that have been built for all users.

Please continue to allow those of us who are equestrians have the same recreational opportunities as mountain bikers, hikers, ORV riders.

Leashing a dog while riding a horse would be dangerous for the animals and anyone involved.
