Horses or miles are clearly livestock, eat grass, grain excellent fertilizer for plants, trees. Not invasive like dog poop, meat eaters.

Horses are not household pets. To dismount & bag their manure while on a ride is extremely hazardous & will destroy the the sanity that riding provides.

These trails were made by hikers (Natives) and riders (Settlers). We deserve to ride.

Horses are livestock. Trails are for horses. Dogs can be under control without leashes.

Horses are not pets, they are livestock. Horse manure creates no risk to humans or other animals unlike dog feces. Enforce people responsibly disposing of "litle blue bags" instead of littering the trailside with them. Equestrian groups provide trail maintenance which would otherwise go undone and you want to exclude these volunters.

Please respect American equestrian tradition by keeping equestrian regulations in line with those of other counties in WA and OR.

I want these trails to remain open to equine and canines, alike!

We need to keep equestrians on the trails. Having rode the trails and also walking and encountering people on horses. No problem.

Please don't turn our wilder places into restricted areas to please newbies that come here and then try to change everything to conform to what they escaped from. We love our relative freedom here and rely on mutual respect to get along, and don't need laws to tell us how to behave responsibly.

Do not instill these limits. Stop gentrification of jefferson county. This is NOT california and shouldn't be treated as such.

Horses and horseback riders deserve equal access to safe trails.

Back Country Horsemen and other equestrian groups have built and help maintain many of these trails!

Yes our horses are livestock, not pets even though we love them. I really don’t want any in our house! I wonder if things may change when these COVID days are over, not sure if better or worse?

It's becoming harder and harder to travel by horse. When I was a teen, we could ride just about anywhere quite safely. Now, with the increase of population and lack of training for drivers, roads are no longer safe since everyone but drivers are expected to be the ones maintaining safety. That leaves only trails to ride on, that we have to trailer to. Reducing access with arbitrat, nonsensical and impractical limitations means we no longer have access to the trails we help pay for. In addition, horsewomen and horsemen help maintain trails for everybody all over the nation, and we deserve to use them just as much as everyone else.

Totally disagree w/this; very dangerous for riders to try to remove manure. Most equestrians move their horses off trail to poop or get off & kick the droppings off into the bushes.

We already have enough laws about dogs and horses. If you don't want to deal with country life, move back to San Francisco or Marin.
