Communication is vital for world peace, economy and education. We should be moving forward not backwards with our links to the rest of the world. Japanese A Levels must be retained for this generation and the next.

The children have worked so hard it's a huge step backwards for their efforts and self esteem to lose this discipline. Also curriculum is considering position of Asian languages given the prominence of Asia in business and world economy now. I have heard government is thinking of making Japanese or another Asian language mandatory rather than French to give greater career opportunities for our UK children. School must think this bad decision to drop the Japanese a level through carefully against that thinking and climate.

We know so many British students who are currently doing Alevel Japanese. You should not remove a opportunity of leaning the language they wish to learn!

Japan is the third largest economy in the world in 2015.
Please stop spending so much money on Trident and keep educating the next generation especially when money is tight. We believe in your decency.

Expanding communications is vital and we need to work beyond the standard French, Germany, Spanish etc.
The world doesn't revolve around Europe and USA.

Hello,
I may be a year 8 but I am, was, considering Japanese as an A level. It is such an amazing subject to be taught and, I believe, taking it out as an A Level means future generations as well as todays kids are really missing out on something special

Hello.
I studied in UK university and absolutely loved talking with English people who are learning Japanese. It made me feel that it is not only me who try to understand other culture and connect with people in a different place. And it always made me warm. So please keep A-Level Japanese, I really hope the Japanese students who will go to UK to study in the furture will have the same warmth that I felt.

NO to end of A-Level Japanese.
I heard a rumour A-Level Japanese may be discontinued for an exam paper company's convenience. Such an important decision should be made by the government.
I strongly appealed to the government to keep Japanese A-Level for foundimental involvement of Japanese teachers and students who are interested in Japanese culture. We must maintain our cultural connections between our two countries which has been going for 100's of years.
