It would be a great shame to remove Japanese from the A-Levels system. All languages are important and need to be preserved but Japanese is especially interesting and beautiful. For many it is a gateway into the orient. The A-Level is essential to students and perspective employers alike as it demonstrates the extra commitment and skill attained.

Japan, as one of the most important countries in the world for banking, business and corporate initiative, why on earth would a qualification in the language be scrapped for budding entrepreneurs? Makes no sense at all!!

Japanese is increasing important in Asia and other developing countries in many areas even though Chinese is coming up as a international language.

My children are learning Japanese and it is a part of their identities in the U.K. Please keep Japanese in A level for wonderful opportunities for their future.

Keeping Japanese A-level will greatly motivate children to study Japanese and its wonderful culture. Pleaes do not take the oppotunity of studying Japanese away from children.

My daughters are learning Japanese and want to have qualifications in that language. Japan is a major economy and there is a significant Japanese community in London. Please keep the Japanese Language A-Level exam.

It's very short-sighted to withdraw A-level provision from the language of a major economy with a rich cultural heritage.

So many British students are currently doing Alevel Japanese. Should not remove a opportunity of leaning the language they wish to learn.
