I have some friends who studied Japanese and are using their Japanese skill in their jobs and are very successful in business. That will be a great shame to loose those opportunities and encouragement by removing the Japanese exams.

I took A-level Japanese and it led to me doing it at university so I think it'd be a huge shame if they got rid of it.

My classmates and I fought to get Japanese A Level in our school and it's now more popular then ever.
Scrapping it is such a bad idea. It's a fantastic language to learn and more people should have the opportunity to learn it.

As with all GCSE language subjects, leave students the choice to pick up ideally any language they would like to learn as part of their curriculum. Furthermore Japan, one of the largest economies in the world boasts unique cultural traits and historical significance. If you first abolish Japanese, what is next?

Japan is still the third largest economy in the world, and Japan and the U.K have a long-standing friendly international relationship. Japanese A-level should definitely be kept to keep and further deepen our bilateral relationship!

The British Council identifies the Japanese language as one of the most 10 important languages for the future of Great Britain, and Japan is yet the third biggest economy in the world after the US and China. I also think that to study non-European language(s) such as Japanese would improve cognitive abilities and brain fitness!

This exam is a great incentive to improve cultural relations between Japan and the UK. Is the reason for scrapping it only the 'profit margin'. If so, what would it take to keep it?
