Keep Japanese A Level

Japan has long history and used same word,characters,culture.

I think that it would be a shame if Japanese at A Level is discontinued, as it has played a significant role in fostering stronger cultural and economic ties between Britain and Japan.

Please keep Japanese A Level.

Our children need to be able to study all languages for the future benefit of our country.

A command of any other language than one's mother tongue is essential in this world. Japanese language and culture is still a powerful force in both Asia and the world at large.

Learning Japanese is particularly important in forging genuine global understanding and world peace.

I totally agree with the reasons, and would strongly wish to keep Japanese A Level.

We are already one of the worst nations of foreign language speakers. Foreign language education gives students access to entirely new ideas and ways of thinking. Discontinuation of these exams would only serve to make the current secondary school syllabus more narrow and uninspiring. More choice of school subjects means more students finding something they can excel in, and in the long term will lead to a more diverse and productive workforce.

The A level in Japanese must be retained. Withdrawal of Japanese A level would deprive children of their motivations for keep learning. Having access to an A level qualification in Japanese has encouraged students to convert their curiosity with culture into something more academic and it enhances student access to a wide range of studies in universities and job opportunities related to Japanese. It would also broaden students' perspectives and enrich their appreciation of other culture as well as own culture. If Great Britain is serious about being global and competitive, it should retain the Japanese A level.

Japanese is a very valuable language to learn, and can potentially provide jobs to those interested in the language and culture.

Pls keep it.

Unfortunately it's still very much in this country....English is the only language!!!
