Learning AS level Japanese and having the opportunity to visit such an amazing country were fantastic cultural experiences for me. This opportunity shouldn't be taken away.

the importance of learning a language such as Japanese should not even need to be discussed. We are a multicultural country and we must stay open to other cultures and languages.

I wish I would have had the chance to study Japanese at A-Level. Doing it now at university and feel behind people learning European languages that got to study it at A-Level.

I think that retaining the course is effective not just for students who want to learn Japanese, but for some Japanese who love to believe their tongue is a special one.
