Keep Japanese A Level

It's wrong to make it unavailable to me just as I've chosen it for GCSE

Please keep Japanese among GCSE and A-level subjects!! Young students need variety of choices in learning languages.

It seems unfair and shortsighted that Japanese A level (which is the 9th most spoken language in the world and has the 3rd largest economy) is being taken out the curriculum when, for example Welsh is still available. I understand that people will argue that Welsh is part of our heritage, but there are a lot of people with Japanese heritage living in the UK don't they get to "celebrate their heritage" too?

To increase UK students understanding of cultures outside Europe.

This is my daughters favourite subject at school and she appears to have a real affinity for it. I would be most disappointed for her to not be able to continue her studies to A Level

Japanese language is a precious heritage for all of us and is to be transmitted to the next generations.

Please keep Japanese Alevel, please.

Please do not abolish the Japanese A Level- it would be the way to the end of the special UK-Japan friendship and the cultural, economical link.

Language is a part of culture. Learning a language is the gateway to understand another culture. UK is proud of its diversity and should maintain as many chances to learn other cultures as possible.

Learners, no matter how young or old should be given as wide choices as practically possible.

It must be extremely important to retain Japanese for English students learning leading technology, unique culture and business.

Japanese language has helped me throughout my working life. Japan has slipped to the world's 3rd largest economy, but it is still the 3rd largest (dwarfing the UK economy) and is undeniably relevant! The language and culture are also relevant not to mention interesting, and most UK school do not to my knowledge teach enough about Asia/China/Japan. Please keep Japanese A level as an option! Thank-you

The Japanese A Level is very important in helping to maintain good social and economic relations with Japan and it's people. The British have learned so much by absorbing new ideas. We can learn a great many things from the areas of life the Japanese have concentrated on, and perfected, and vice versa. Language is the first way these links and understanding can be established. This will be a great loss for both the British and Japanese. Many hopes will be dashed and dreams shattered.

As long as there are students who want to study Japanese, please keep A level exam for their one of target/motivation to study.

Please keep the opportunity to study Japanese.
