English is a main subject in Japanese schools. There are lots of examinations of English in Japan. To facilitate Japan-UK relationship, the language education should be bi-directional. Japanese A-level should not be removed.

Language education or any other education is not just for business obviously!!! For the benefit of both the country and the world, school exams really ought to increase the number of subjects including the variety of languages, not withdrawing!!!

I am really angry that Japanese has been taken away. My Japanese teacher mentioned this petition and most of our class have signed it. Keep Japanese - this has crushed many people's dreams. Japanese is important, and if you ever want a job in Japan, Edexcel, then think about what you've done! I can't believe this, I was probably going to take Japanese A-Level. SOOOO frustrated. #Keep Japanese!

Learning it is an opportunity that I never thought would be available. When it was offered as a second language, before I started Year 7, I was extremely excited. Now, one year later, I don't want all that knowledge to go to nothing. I believe Japanese could help us in the future.

Its notlike more common, easy to learn languages are better and have to be taught over the harder, less common languages. I find it really unfair and it makes no sense. Learning several harder languages should be really good for you! Our teacher was on the verge of tears kowing he could lose his job when he told us, and I was devastated to hear it. Like our whole class has signed and I want people to feel what a bunch of year sevens feellike having the only fun lesson at school possibly taken away from them. :( JUST DONT BAN IT!!!!!!
