I do not want this housing development in my back yard. I have lived here all my 53 years and never thought this would happen.

I remember blythewood when it was a one stoplight town and you would see tractors driving down the road every day. It has already grown too much. Please do not continue to ruin this town!!!

Traffic in Blythewood in the AM is already very congested. Our roads can't handle another 500 Households.

if this happens we will never be able to sell our amazing five year old house that we can't live in because the military took us else where!!! What appealed most about Blythewood was its small town, out of the city, close knit community! Don't take the characteristics that appeal to those that have loved and lived there for years away!!! Columbia already has a city! Don't turn Blythewood into one!

When I built my home in 1991, I could leave my home and drive down Hard Scrabble Rd. and maybe see a dozen vehicles on the road. Now I have to deal with the congestion of hundreds of vehicles. We don't need another subdivision in Blythewood.Keep Blythewood Rural!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We bought our home in Blythewood for rural, quiet living. If I wanted chaos and crime we would have purchased our "forever" home somewhere else. My husband is in the military, and we really would like to retire in the home we own in Blythewood. These homes will make us want to move.

This area does not need another subdivision on this side of Blythewood, they've already built three new housing areas on Langford Rd the last couple of years--which has added a lot more traffic and crime in the area, let alone many of the houses/lots haven't even sold, bringing property values down and saturating the market. Not to mention, the single floor housing going up on Hardscrabble near Rimer Pond/Lake Carolina. Heins Road is already a mess (pot holes, patches and all), it's not large/wide enough to withstand approx. 900-1000 more vehicles a day traveling on it. Additionally, we have a small volunteer fire department (truly appreciated), additional housing would likely exceed it's capability. Plopping 500 homes in a wooded area approx. 8-10 miles from city limits is not a "transition zone," we are rural, one would think a transition zone would be closer to the urban area--we are beyond a transition zone!. We've lived in the Summit, wanted to be rural--keep this area rural!!

There has been too much growth as it is! The rural roads in that area will not be able to handle all the traffic caused by a development of that size. Citizens who bought rural land and live in that area live there because they didn't want to live city life. Don't force 'a city' upon them!!

I have grown up my whole life in Blythewood, and all of these new developments are ruining the country atmosphere. Quit trying to bring the city to the country it's not going to work!!
