Fleetwood had such an amazing season this year. The future of the school’s team shouldn’t be decided by two parents trying to ruin it for everyone.

As a player under Hoffert this year, I have not one negative comment about him. He is more than qualified for the job. He is a good coach with a winning tradition, and a great person. It’s quite apparent that most of the community and players want him back. What is more disappointing is the way things have been handled and that the players are left to deal with this mess. You expect them to go compete against other teams who are going to be at least 2 months ahead of them. It’s completely unfair to the kids. A bad reputation has been put under the organization for this season already... It is a mess right now and something needs to happen quickly so the kids have a coaching staff and weight room and everything else that comes with it. Keep hoffert.

Maddox should be ashamed of himself. Trying to run another Berks program? Then interviews for the job cause he was butt hurt he didn’t get it the first time.

To allow two bitter, muckraking parents to control the outcome of a Board decision is comparable to the Salem witch trials where anyone can scream what they want and everyone believes it as true. I guess whoever screams the loudest and the longest is right. The two accusatory parents weren’t in the coaches office when the events in question were discussed. They were not privy to the one on one conversations with the two accused parties. And to accuse the other remaining coaches of not doing anything to rectify the situation is out and out slander and libel. Hopefully, the Board will ignore these two entitled parents and make things right and hire Coach Hoffert as Head Coach, for the kids sake.

You cannot allow closed door sessions or ENTITLEMENT issues determine the outcome. We live in a society where what is said, is taken as truth. No rebuttal needed, no TRUTH needed, NO FACTS NEEDED. Not sure how you go from HIRED to NAH, because of two parents. Maybe they are connected people, retired superintendent or flatout special. We need to be better than this. OPEN the DOORS and allow everybody to have their say. Then, because of what was done....you have more speculation because NOBODY understands or knows what is going on. Be Fair or is that too much to ask?

I believe coach hoffert should be a couch he is very passionate and he was an awesome coach go play for when I was there also coach hoffert knows what he is doing leg the program live on please #oneteamonedrea.
