We have precious few places to have our dogs off leash. People can walk unbothered by dogs in a million other places. It is not fair to take this park away from responsible dog owners. We need and deserve as tax payers a place for our dogs to be off leash.

Heritage Park is an off leash dog park used by dogs and their people throughout the year. Makes more sense to keep it with those who makes use of it throughout the year!!!!

There are more dog owners that use this park during all 12 months of the year than there are baseball players that use this park for 5 months of the year. Closing a park that is used so frequently and so well suited for dogs just does not make sense. Please keep Heritage park open so my dog can continue to have friends!

I have been bringing my dog there since a puppy. Orleans needs an off leash dog park! No fair that the west has several!! Let us keep our!!

Please keep this park open!!! We've been coming here for months since getting our puppy and we all love it! It's a great place for the dogs to run around off-leash and enjoy being dogs! Banning dogs from this park would be a HUGE upset for fur-parents living in Orleans :(

This is one of the great off-leash parks in the city, combining an open play area and a lovely wooded path. It's also the only one that is central in Orleans and accessible to thousands of dog owners. It would be senseless to make this an on-leash park as it would become a desolate place, with no one going there, and what good would that serve?

We frequent David Bartlett Park in Manotick and it is one of the most beautiful parks around!!

It is important that dogs have large off-leash spaces to exercise. Otherwise frustration builds up and expresses itself in negative behaviours.
Dogs should be free to roam in designated areas!
