dog parks are a big part of a community. destroying this park for part time use would hurt the community.

we have for a long time enjoyed this 99% of us are responsible parents for our animal kids we also our human kids are upset that they could loose this area we pay taxes do we also not have rights to fairness

One of the reasons we decided to buy in this area was for the off leash park. We use it nearly every day and it would be a terrible loss to the community if It was closed.

The proposal to make another baseball diamond in heritage park was met with such opposition by the public at the meeting. I don't understand why this is still being pushed.

As a professor of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, I know that dog parks are important places for both humans and dogs to be active. Baseball is not nearly as popular an activity as dog walking and off-leash dog activity.

Heritage Park is the only large off-leash dog park in Orleans, and it's used every day of the year. There are plenty of existing baseball diamonds in Orleans, and most are only used in one season and a few evenings per week. We don't need another diamond, we NEED our dog park!

My dog loves that park. It is the only place that he can run free and play with other dogs. I live in an apartment building and he loves to go for walks but it's not the same; especially when he can run and play by himself without restraints. Save the park.
We need more off-leash areas in Ottawa.
