This park is an integral part of the community in Chapel Hill. There are dozens of other parks you can go to if you don't want to be around dogs!

Great park. One of few places that dogs can run!

This park is the main reason I am considering making Orleans my new home. Without the off-leash park, we would choose a more dog-friendly area to purchase our next home.

Off leash dog parks with trails and space for dogs to enjoy just being dogs is so important. Please keep this park open for off leash status. It’s been used as an off leash park for years and hopefully years to come.

Beautiful park that unfortunately should not have a baseball diamond in the middle of it. Move the baseball diamond elsewhere

I have 3 kids and a dog. Having this park off leash for dogs helps my family get out and spend time with their dog in a safe place for everyone.

dogs need to have some off leash time to run and play some people don't have space in their yards or apartments and need a safe place to bring the dogs don't bring your kid to a dog park if they cant handle being knocked over by a dog ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We have been using this dog park years. We drive our dog there so she can run and socialize with other dogs. We have never had or have seen any issues between the kids and the dogs.

Children are allowed everywhere, and have so many indoor and outdoor activity spaces...dogs do not have that luxury - let dogs and their owners have what few dog parks exist in the city. I’m not a resident of Orleans but come on... reporting there have been dog attacks when there hasn’t been any reports to the city?

Dog owners use land designated as dog parks 365 days a year, over 12 hours each and every day. Sports teams use them less than 1/4 of that amount. There are plenty of other fields designated for sports. Dog owners are tax payers too.

I take my dog there periodically and she prefers it to fenced in parks and enjoys running on the wooded path and although not large it makes for a good walk especially in the fall and summer.

Please leave the park as an off leash dog park. Teaching your pet about socialization in a beautiful setting. It's also a place where people meet, socialize and discuss different strategies for dog behaviour. I have been taking my pups there for years and they love being able to be free for awhile. They are tiny and love the woods and learning to socialize

Please don't take away the small off leash area we already have. There aren't many places where our dogs can go off leash.. kids are allowed anywhere dogs aren't .

This is such a well - loved place by many dog owners. Please do not change the status!
