I taught drama at Crest . When I started there were 20 students in the program. When I retired there were 200! We need theatre taught in schools for those of us who love the arts. The arts are just as important as the other interests covered in electives.

Certainly one of the top Theatre/Drama Educators in Western NC, and the accolades from bonafide adjudicated sources confirm it. We need more Hannah Pratts advancing the arts in our communities!

This program would not be the same without her. She was a magnificent role model to my daughter and for so many others. She gives her all to these kids and that is what we need in a teacher.

Theatre is important to those children who don’t fit the mold of sports, and need somewhere to call their own. What She has done for this program has influenced more than just those in her class, my 4th grader is VERY excited to make it high school and join the theatre program when she is old enough.Let Hannah keep this program alive and thriving for the children of the future!

This is insane that we are even having to sign this petition. Without Hannah this theatre program would not have grown to the caliber that it is at. Bring Hannah back!!

I have played in the band for a musical Hannah directed. The students were well taught in the skills necessary to create a successful show, and they loved working with her. Lincoln is privileged to have a theatre arts/music educator of her caliber!

Arts education can have a huge impact on students — including confidence, communication, creativity, collaboration, and engagement in school. Programs like theater often give kids a place to belong and a way to express themselves that traditional academics alone may not provide.

Every school should be so blessed to have a teacher like Hannah. She inspires, has high expectations and has given her students lessons on collaboration and how practice makes perfect. Something that is sorely lacking in kids these days.

Hannah Pratt was my theatre and choir teacher back when I was a Junior and Senior at NLHS. She was and still is an incredible educator and was one of teachers who helped me get through high school and continue to encourage me to continue education in technical theatre. Hannah deserves to get her contract renewed, continue to teach theatre at NLHS and keep encouraging so many talented students to pursue their dream on and off stage.

North Lincoln is known for its theater department. Removing Mrs Pratt is not only a disservice to the students but also to the community at large.

Just look at her track record and the positive impact she has had on her students, if you're looking for proof of her worth.
