Enough is enough. I’m sick of new fees appearing by council every other turn. It’s green waste that should be mulched or chipped and given back to the community for free!

I request that green waste remain free. How do we get rid of the trimmings we do every year to keep our properties safe in fire season. This could create more burning off in the backyard.

If residents have to pay there will be more dumping on naturestrips. Make it easy to do the best thing.

The green waste service helps us keep our properties prepared for fire season. This is vital for everyone’s safety. Also we buy it back as mulch and compost!

Note to MRSC. I already have to travel from Gisborne at my own time/expense to dispose of my green waste responsibly. If there's a charge I'll take it to a friends farm and burn it off. Council needs to actually think of the consequences to its actions outside of a cost analysis.

There is so much that council need to do, including fixing dangerous Woodend Roads they have neglected, and continuing to provide free amenity such as green waste recycling which you can profit from by selling.

We are pensioners and an extra fee would mean we would have to chose between 'going without' or burning-off and we'd prefer not to have to do either

Absolutely outrageous. MRSC are so far detached from the people they should be serving. Dip into the money your not spending on repairing roads for this.
