With the cost of living at the moment, keeping green waste free seems like a small concession the council could make to help us out a bit. People live on larger properties in the Ranges and there is a need to remove a lot of green waste compared to people on smaller lots.

Residents already pay huge amounts for disposal of rubbish. MRSC are making money from a green waste. Green waste will begin being dump in and around the MRSC causing fire dangers and costs for clean up. No fees for green waste!

Council were incorrectly passing on internal waste management charges as exempt from ESC rate cap and have been caught out and now reidents are paying the price. How about a transfer station closer to Gisborne.... surely Hobbs Rd site is ideal.

As a rate payer and environmentalist, I am very concerned that people will start burning off their green waste rather than paying a fee to take it to the tip.

we are pensioners-trying to manage to keep on top of things, and this is another cost added to cost of living. people are just going to dump green waste in the forest or on the side of the road

Consider the consequences of withdrawing free green waste on the shire more burning off and flytipping and higher fire danger will result in this beautiful country

Your 4 bin system is great council and showing the way for many others BUT this is a backward step. Don't change what is working well for you and discourage residents removing a very hazardous material from their properties.

The council want residents to ensure their properties are kept tidy - which is very logical but want to charge to dispose of reusable green waste. Not sensible as it will lead to increased fire risk, smoke from burning off operations with increased risk of out of control fires. Rethink please council as you have an asset which is now being used effectively.

Council spend a small fortune on junkets to Japan, for very doubtful benefit to the shire after decades, but are content to put it up the ratepayers over green waste. We know about the shocking waste that goes on when five senior staff attend an afternoon meeting but not the staffer who has to do the work. It's a scandal and this waste has to stop. Then perhaps we can properly fund essential stuff like green waste management. Look to yourselves council.
