This decision by MRSC is a disgrace and is devoid of logic.

I sent the council an email regarding this issue, I have a copy if you request it. They said this wouldn’t be happening and will let residents know if it does happen. I haven’t seen anything on this until I saw this on Midland Express, this just shows how greedy and how lying has affected our council, this is not good for the environment and burning off will become a must for my business to keep pricing low.

The Council makes a lot of money from the green waste. Why does it need funding from residents so that it can make even more profit?

I use this facility quite often, I will be extremely disappointed if this happens. Won’t be able to afford to keep vegetation the same as I would like.

I believe that charging people to bring green waste into resource recovery is a retrograde step. Some people will burn it, others will dump it. These are the last things that our fragile environment needs.

Encourage residents to use these services by keeping them fee free. If you charge for them the waste will be disposed of in inappropriate places.

Keep green waste free. Let people dispose of their green waste before a fire comes through! Ridiculous decision.

Council seem to be doing their best to further alienate a community that I already has a pretty low opinion of MRCC

Very important to maintain the free service to encourage landowners to clear properties, and remove possible fire fuel

Strongly appose this change will mean we have to charge customers extra which will increase inflation or otherwise burn it on our property in Kyneton

This fee will only add to the number of burn offs, leading to pollution in the atmosphere

Another blow for people already struggling with the cost of living and increase in exorbitant cost of rates should well manage this

Charging for green waste will only lead to either people dumping waste in our Forrest’s or burning it. Either way an issue for our environment

Thanks, Grant! It is $13.80 per 6x4x1 foot trailer. I have a standard caged trailer and it's often full to the top of green waste and tied down with ropes – this would be classed as a 6x4x4 trailer so $41.40 as a charge.
I can't believe it's on Honour Avenue residents to clean up after the Autumn Festival. If you need any help amplifying this injustice to council, please let me know.
