It doesn't make sense to stop French. There's NO reason to do it, and many to keep it. Please keep French!

Don’t leave current student without a language class. If you want to eliminate French start stopping it in Columbia MS and phase it out gradually.

I have enjoyed French class since I started in 7th grade. I had already switched from Latin, which got canceled after my 6th grade year. Changing language classes is a pain, and I wouldn't want any other student to have to switch languages part of the way through.

French is very common in a lot of the world's countries, French is extremely useful in day-to-day operations.

Although I do not take French, I believe it is a crucial language to the students at CMS and teachers would loose their jobs. Keep this language and the teachers within it!

French is a vital part of our academics at GL- not only is it the language of diplomacy and so much of the world’s literature, philosophy, theology, and social thinking, it is also so closely aligned to latin that it builds essential vocabulary for the SAT/ACT. Keep French in our schools.

From the mother of an impacted student: a language needs to be learned over time, one can not simply just pick up, drop and pick up another language and move on. These who elected the language for a reason. I am asking the district to reconsider the evaluation from the lens of students’.

Keep French. It is a beneficial due to a variety of socio-economic factors that relate foreign nations, as France is one of the main contributors to the economy of the European Union. Furthermore, French shares many similarities to a multitude of other languages, making the learning of other languages far easier and more efficient (although those can be said for many other languages).
