◦ It will most likely take away our chance of an honors language class
◦ We will have to be in a class with kids who are much ahead of us
◦ We will be behind
◦ Just because of one teacher retiring, doesn’t mean they should stop the whole program
◦ Our teacher who were care about a lot is losing her job and she didn’t have much of a say
◦ If this goes through, then the Spanish and Italian classes will have much more students and all of the student will get less attention
◦ It’s just as useful as Spanish or Italian
◦ Someone is losing there job
◦ Is a teacher does not stay in the district then we will be losing lots of money that we put towards our Quebec trip

This needs to be undone. Teacher retirement does not mean an entire program should be scrapped. This puts the 7th graders at a disadvantage. We have not seen any analysis to support this decision.

We absolutely do not adhere to this decision & would like the Board to reconsider its position to find an alternative solution. This decision involves the Parents and Students and should have been proposed to us prior to any decision process.

I don’t take french, but I know that any language is important for education. We also can’t let an innocent teacher loose her job.

French is still a very viable language that can be used in jobs within the local New Jersey economy, Pharmaceuticals and more.
