Use what you have! There are way to many vacant buildings in this location and also in at the mall that we don't need any more commercial buildings.

Has anyone looked at the vacancies currently in Franklin Square 1, 2 & 3??? And how many other businesses that lay fallow along Franklin? If you build on this flood plain/naturalized area, you are endangering not only wildlife but the many houses in Gardner Park and Gardner Woods that lay close to this area. You may as well tear down a good portion of those houses b/c they WILL flood. Just use/reuse the dead zones already commercialized on the BLVD. please

With all the paving and commercial development in Franklin Square, Franklin Woods provides a good barrier for the established neighborhoods of Gardener Park and Gardener Woods. I see no need to add another little strip mall when there are so many empty buildings that could be repurposed. Let's have logic rather than the almighty buck prevail.

It's absolutely ridiculous to destroy the only thing separating our neighborhood from a highway, only to build across the street from a shopping center full of empty buildings. We were promised that land by the original Linebergers. The current Linebergers need to honor that promise. Fill an empty building instead of destroying Frankiln Woods.

Houston just lost billions of dollars of property due to being built in flood plains and with poor buffers or drainage. Why go there, Gastonia City Council? Keep Franklin Woods!

The South Fork River has already been damaged enough with silt build up from the construction of Franklin Square. Further development here is unnecessary and dangerous.

We should take a page from the books that saw great flooding during Harvey and Irma due to mismanagement of ground water and flood plains. Say no to this development. There are many vacant store fronts that can be converted to meet the needs of stores wanting to locate in Gastonia.

Buffer spaces are critical to the environment for the proper shedding of rain water and the needs of wildlife. We cannot simply continue to destroy all the green space. Retention ponds and landscaping are simply not enough to make an actual difference, real acreage must be put aside for environmental reasons as well as simple beautification! I hope you will secure this area and save us from the endless sprawl.
