The Heart and Soul of the city. Should have a protection order. Some things are more important than profit.

So many cities have amazing food markets to showcase quality Irish foodstuffs. This building has the history and traditions of selling fresh produce.

I want a Market in Dublin, similar to the English Market in Cork, run as a public municipal market.

The only way to ensure this remains a landmark public site is to retain public control.

One of my earliest memories is of helping load my grandads bike with produce for the market. The blocking of access to markets for small producers is a further erosion of the social fabric of our city.
