Fabulous building remember going there as a child to pick up punnets of mushrooms. Would be a big loss to the city.

This has to remain as a market and public facility. Dublin is in danger of losing its character and plans like this do not instill a lot of confidence in DCC's attitude to the city's heritage.

I read on social media of other county's food markets and the high standards of promoting local produce; wish we had an "English market" in Dublin too

I live near this market and would love to buy my food there in the future. I spent 4 years in Cork and regularly bought my groceries in the English market. Years later I still miss it. Recreate all that the English market in Cork has, but with a bigger space, also have more space for up and coming businesses.

I’m absolutely against this tender and the “privatization” of Smithfield market!

What harm are these women doing, trying to make a decent living, the excuses given for trying to get them to go, are just disgusting, 1 was taking the look off the businesses on the street, give them a month out in bad weather selling flowers, when it's all you know, they might change there outlook on other people..

We are selling of all that we own. This has to stop now before it is to late. Kepp the market in the public domain and you won't be sorry. Thanks.

A market is not just a tourist destination.
