UVU is supposed to work for us, the students. When they dismiss their top-performing professors, there had better be a good reason. UVU does not have its priorities straight on this one. I am very disappointed.

Dr. Petrucci is one of my favorite professors I have had at UVU. Definitely not because he is an easy professor, but because he cares about his students and he puts more emphasis into learning the material correctly than into flying through it. UVU is wrong to let him go. Dr. Petrucci we love you and the care you give your students!

Dr. Petrucci has been one of the best Chemistry professors I have had and the Chemistry department is already understaffed as it is.

Professor Petrucci is one of Utah Valley University's greatest assets. His knowledge, teaching style, and rapport with students is crucial the the learning environment at UVU. I consider Dr. Petrucci to be a mentor and someone I aspire to be like in my professional carrier. Why on earth would UVU let a great researcher and educator go, like Dr. Petrucci?

Dr. Petrucci is one of UVU's finest mentors. He is what this university needs. I am a BioChem major at UVU and to be honest I was able to understand more for his lecture than any other. Honestly he was a big influence in the fact that I made the right decision in choosing biochem as a major. Additionally he goes above and beyond his means to provide more than just teaching to his students, he provides mentoring and guidance. Additionally an out side perspective being from Italy and working in multiple foriegn labs. UVU is foolish to not renew his contract, exspecially since there are only 2 Biochem professors at UVU and I know the next one will not be as beneficial to UVU core goals, if and when we get one. UVU is starting to get frustrating once you get to the upper division course work as it is, additionally what about all the students doing research, does this school not realize any competitive school wants research and Petrucci has went above and beyond to help and guide those students.

I completely agree with everything stated above. Dr. Petrucci is one of the best professors and research mentors that I have had at UVU. It would be a grave mistake to let him go. He is incredibly bright, but he also finds ways of simplifying concepts so that any student could understand. He will go above and beyond for each of his students.
