WE NEED TO KEEP DR MIDGLEY HERE ON PEI.... We are now home from Halifax, and my father is doing better. Both feet and legs have been saved. A heartfelt "Thank You" to everyone for their prayers, and calls and also everyone on 7.4 and the Vascular Team at the Halifax Infirmary for an amazing job. I am so proud of Dad, He showed courage throughout this entire ordeal, endurance of pain, and perserverance, and he never gave up. Way to go Dad.... Dr Midgley has saved many lives by being here and for someone to make the comment that he didn't know when to put his pager down is ridiculous. Tell that to someone who needed emergency care immediately. This situation should be followed on a regular basis, I was told that Island View on Eastlink done a segment re Dr Midgley with Minister of Health Doug Currie. Would love to see that interview and see what Doug Currie had to say on Compass. I am asking everyone to continue to send your letters to Minister of Health; Doug Currie, Premier Ghiz, Health PEI and your MLA's. This Island CANNOT go without having A Vascular Surgeon. You never know when it could be you or a loved one requiring the immediate services of a Vascular Surgeon and unable to make the trip to Halifax or Moncton. Waht Then??? And it has happened. Thanks to Dr Midgley, this womans life was saved. Many voices can make a difference... Let your voice be heard!!! Thank you Terri
