The DHOH program at Oster is also very valuable to the kids who aren't in the program. It teaches them to be more inclusive of others. It helps those in the program by including them in the classes.

My Daughter attended Oster from K-5th and the DHOH program is good for the students that are not hard of hearing as well as those that are. The exposure to other children with different challenges and the accepting of those that are different is a very positive influence to all.

My 3 children attended Oster. And I was a volunteer and staff member over our 8 years there. The experience of community and education was top notch and wouldn't have been the same without the DHOH. I'm truly saddened to think that kids of Oster won't have the opportunity to learn and grow from there side by side work with DHOH children. And I'm appalled to think that the DHOH kids will be moved to a FAILING school district!!

My little brother greatly benefited from this program and got him to the place he is at today, entering into mainstream classes and learning at the same level as kids his age. This program at Oster, also allowed him to connect with kids similar to him and making many friends as the outcome. He also had extreme support from teachers who were very involved in his life, as were in mine and my family's.
