During my last semester at Edinboro, Denise inspired me to pick up my camera again. I now run my own studio doing newborn, child, and wedding photography.

Denise is hands down one of my favorite professors at Edinboro University. She has a passion for what she teaches and her class was so much fun. I was so inspired by her. She is a fantastic photographer, a fantastic teacher and a fantastic role model. It's teachers like her who make this University so great. Please keep Denise Keim! She has touched the lives of so many students. She's truly impacted my life. If more than this comment is needed on this petition, I would gladly vouch for her character in person or through a letter to the Dean.

Before taking a class with Denise, I had heard nothing but good things about her and was looking forward to getting to know her and learn from her. I am now in my first class with Denise this semester and I have learned so much from her. I have also learned the type of person she is. She is kind and caring, driven and encouraging and the most happiest enthusiastic professor that I've ever had here. She is a great asset to the photo department. She dedicates so much time to her students and it is clear that she cares about them and her job. To take this away from the the students and to lose her as a staff member here at Edinboro would be a shame.
Being a graduate of the Photography Program at Edinboro University I have had the opportunity to have three classes with Denise. She is a hardworking, passionate, and encouraging professor who is a great asset to the Photography Department. She has gone so far as to bring in her own equipment for students to use in the learning process as our equipment was not always in functioning order. She dedicates so much time to her students, and it is clear she cares about her job. Her termination would be a great loss to Edinboro and harmful to the Art Department.

I am in my first class with Denise this semester, and I have to say that she is one of the cheeriest professors I have ever met. She is passionate about her work and goes to the highest extent to reach her goals. Her knowledge and experience isn't something the university should throw away. I believe she is a great asset to the photography program and deserves to stay

Denise is one of my favorite professors and has inspired and taught me so much in the short time I've had her. It breaks my heart not only to think I may never have her as a professor again, but also that incoming students won't either.

Denise is by far my favorite teacher here at Edinboro! She is what keeps my hopes up for being successful in the industry. The two and half hours that I have with her isn't enough. I was heartbroken to hear that she is losing her job. She is a wonferful professor and a great person to simply be around. Any student who had the chance to have a class with her benefited in some way. You don't need to be a photography major to appreciate her talent and advice. She inspires me to just go out there and do what I love. If Edinboro fires Denise, then this University will lose a great and inspiring teacher.

Why don't we "cut" the positions and employees who do nothing beneficial for our students and campus? I do believe that's the entire purpose of a university.

It's a shame to see someone as passionate as Denise be about to lose a position. She has such impressive experience and techniques. Future students of Edinboro need to benefit from her!

I had Photo I with Denise Keim last year. I had never particularly liked photography, and had a frustrating experience with it in high school. I took it because I had to and because I thought it was more useful to a sculptor/fine art student than the other media arts. Denise captivated me since day 1. She has excellent communication skills and was always willing to go the extra mile to help. She quickly got me in the good habit of shooting fully manually. By the end of her class, I wanted a photo minor. I would have gotten one if the requirements weren’t so involved, but I didn’t have enough free space to take all the required classes. I talked to her about it, and she encouraged me to just do my own thing and learn by doing. I have in one year shot well over 60 GBs of digital photos and film outside of class, and have also started shooting 35 mm film on my own. I would have never gotten so into the possibilities that photography has to offer if not for the enthusiastic and friendly Denise Keim. Edinboro University would be wise to invest in professors as encouraging and helpful to interdisciplinary students as Denise, and her absence would be a great loss to many potential photo students.

Denise gave me the best photo experience I have ever had in Edinboro. You can't keep firing the only employees who actually do their job and actually care about their students.

It is a shame that this department is letting go the best photo teacher. Anytime I think of Denise, her smiling face pops up in my head. She always keeps us inspired and is always encouraging us to do our best and go further. That is definitely the best thing about her as an instructor. Not once has she told her students that they can't do something, or that they will be working as a bank teller, or at walmart. She has faith in each and every one of us. When you have a believer behind your work, you want to go out and make more. I made some of my best work in Denise's class because of her drive to push us further and give us confidence. She is so passionate about her work and it shows. Firing one of the best educators in this art department is completely absurd. Please keep Denise! She's one of the few who I really feel loves her job. We need more teachers like her, not less!
