Pardon my french but the fine arts program can suck it! This program has the lowest employment rate with no growth insight. Tank this whole program and all of you get real majors. Time to stop finger painting kids and start working towards a real job.

Denise inspired my son-in-law as his professor and my daughter to love photography and even took the photos at their wedding as a good friend and repected professor. Please do not let the classes that inspire one's heart along with their minds to dwindle away in our schools and universities!

Denise is a wonderfull insightfull woman who as a photo major has tought me alot in the short time i have known her she brings alot of real qorld experience to the classroom that i otherwis wouldnt have access too. whenever i need someone to talk to or need to ask a question about a project or just want to discusscreative ideas she is always there. letting her go would be a waste of an amazing talent that this school needs more of she legitimatley cares about not only the school but all of her students and all of the students campus wide as well. she is a true insperation.

Denise Is an incredible lady and an absolute benefit to our university on a variety of levels. First and foremost she genuinely invests herself in each and every student she encounters, whether he/she is a major in her field or not. She goes the extra mile and is a key player in the reason i chose not to leave this school. During spring 12 I was considering leaving the university. It was that semester that I had the pleasure of having denise as a professor. She convinced me to reverse my decision and encouraged me to stay immersed in the arts as a whole. She is also an expert in her craft with endless experience at a high level in the photo world. She will push students to further their talent by staying disciplined and relentlessly focused. She seeks to transform the world positively with her art which is the ultimate goal for every student in our department. It would be a grave mistake to let denise go

It made me sad to hear that she's leaving next semester. I only have her for photo 1 but she's one of the best professor's I've ever had!

I only had her for Photo 1, but Denise was more than helpful when it came to learning the basics of photography. She gave us everything we needed to know in a way that was both fun and interesting. She has plenty of life experience and a number of crazy stories, meaning any sort of problem anyone of us in class had, she was there to offer great advice and point us in a direction that would get us motivated to do even better.

Although I only had her for photo 1, I can accredit with Denise with an immense amount of knowledge that is not only beneficial to photography majors but as a design major can definitely apply on a regular basis

The few chances I have had to sit and chat with Denise, has improved my abilities tremendously, and she has so many stories of her mentors.

Denise is one of the most fun professors Ive had the pleasure of taking. Her lessons are well thought out and she actually showed us how to do some of the more difficult things for beginner photographers, rather than just tossing a camera in our hands.

Denise has the rare ability to inspire through terrifying and amazing stories, and managed to help nurture my scatterbrained, slightly apathetic and jaded self into the hardworking, creative professional that I have turned out to be! And those are the most important thing you can accomplish as a teacher - prepare your students for the "real world" by having them do tons of work similar to what having a job is like, and inspiring creativity by helping to bring the life back to someone's passion. That is an important thing to have at a university. Each professor has something to offer, and that is what she has offered me.

Professor Kiem was one of the best photography professors I've ever had. She has a unique way of making sure we understand the concepts of great photography. Not only was she inspiring inside the classroom, she helped me tremendously in things I was dealing with outside of the classroom, which is not something most professors would do.

In one semester, Densise has taught me a lot of great skills that I will take with me forever. She's an awesome professor and doesn't deserve to get cut.

Denise Kiem is one of my favorite professors I've had while at Edinboro. She's intelligent, caring, and all around fun professor. She genuinely cares about her students and about their progress in photography. She has so many stories to share that pertain to photography and really inspired me to work hard when I had her. I believe that Denise is a great asset to the Photography Department at Edinboro and deserves to stay.
