The course is officially safe and will remain a golf course thanks to the pressure we applied. It was a long fight that drained me completely but knowing this land is preserved makes the exhaustion worth it. Keep an eye on the property records over the coming months just to …
According to the real estate listing the current owners want to sell the land at any cost; including "for campgrounds or housing." Decatur Lake Golf Course has been around for over 90 years and as a community we can not let it be sold off for land. Send a message.
The prospect of seeing ninety years of history bulldozed for more housing is exhausting but I am not walking away from this fight. I am behind the scenes trying to get a meeting with the local planning board to ensure they understand what this land actually means to our town.

I'm not willing to let my homes value be decimated by being next to a campground. Keep the golf course!

We lived out there for 10 years. It’s beautiful as a golf course! The land is NOT suitable for any more homes or campgrounds! Keep it as a golf course!

This is the course I grew up on, learning to love the game of golf, moving me to actually pursue a college degree in the golf industry

This playa a large historical significance to the Brodhead area. This could also affect the home values in a negative way in the area.

This is a nightmare - so many great memories have been had at the Golf Course. Tubing in the winter, golfing, fishing, hiking, The Sand Trap had amazing food and the bartenders were they very best. My best friend even had her wedding reception and wedding photos taken out there. KEEP THE GOLF COURSE

Please keep this a golf course. My grandparents ran this club for 23 years and has always been such an important place in my life.

Say goodbye to DLCC. Sounds like the front has been sold for Prairie Restoration. Everybody be sure and thank the out of town a-holes that bought the course and ruined a 90 year old piece of Brodhead History. Once the front is torn out, it can never be replaced.
