My family originally moved to Dawsonville because of it's small-town charm; To get AWAY from the city. Now it takes me 15-20 minutes (on a good day) to go 5 miles down the road. I understand that some change is good and growth is needed, but this is becoming too much, too fast. We need to keep this "small town" as such; SMALL. If you want to live more in the city, go to Forsyth county. Leave Dawson alone with nature.

Dawsonville doesn't need this, we are already over crowded and this will destroy nature and wildlife and our etowah River!

This will have a tremendous negative impact on Dawsonville infrastructure and quality of life so many of us moved here for! Hwy 400 is already on overload, and then take into account the tourist traffic going North, especially during the fall season, and then to add a massive development??? The beauty of going to the mountains starts in Dawsonville, can you imagine going up 400 and not having the serene scenery we enjoy now? Save the Trees and Forest !!

Don’t move here and then say you don’t want growth. You are the growth!

Who benefits from all this? Not the current residents. More people, more congestion, more crime. Please keep what is left of Dawson 'beautiful'.

Dawson County reminds me of the Atlanta I grew up in during the 1960's and 1970's. During those years, Atlanta was generally a welcoming place. If you want to see Dawson in 30 years, look at Atlanta, Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett. I remember my sister moving into Gwinnett in the 1980's. Gwinnett was growing at a face pace and apartments were springing up all over Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Most of those apartments later became Section 8 federally subsidized housing. Is this the future we want for Dawson? I think not! "say no!" to this unneeded and unwanted development. I also remember the warm, small and inviting Dawson before the outlets. While the outlets have been a growth boom with needed revenue, they have also brought challenges as well like unnecessary apartments and strip malls leading to major traffic issues at Dawson Forest for example. Why now and why apartments? I would support the rezoning with demands listed in this petition. In particular, impact fees on roads and schools along with NO apartments.

I oppose this proposed development. We moved to Dawson County to get away from all this being built in Forsyth County. It will not be beneficial to the people of Dawson County in anyway.

Dawsonville should be kept a small county like it was meant for. We have already grown enough and do not need anymore traffic coming in through the area

400 cannot handle this. We don't want to continue to have Atlanta move north! We moved up in this area to live among the mountains and agriculture...please don't over develop
