As a 68 year old mom of a 2012 ECU grad. & sister of a ‘75 graduate & soon-to-be mother in law of a 2014 ECU grad, to say that our 5 families are big supporters of ECU would be an understatement! We do not support philandering, lying or any other lewd behavior or illegal behavior of anyone, esp.ly ECU administrators. NONE of that happened here. There was even an inebriated woman throw out of this venue for harassing Mr. Gerlach. Please leave this man alone & let him get back to his job. And be thankful that students actually LIKE an administrator of ECU. It’s about time students & parents have someone who actually cares.

I support Dan Gerlach. He is the type of leader that every University should have. A leader who cares mostly about the students who depend on him. The university administration owes Dan Gerlach an apology and his status reinstated immediately . Whoever started this ridiculous "story" and the Fake News organizations who were so quick to try to embarrass a good man should be ashamed of yourselves.

A leader should not be punished for taking the time to engage with students, to help them be seen as a person and not a face in announcements, to be a part of the school as a whole. Reinstate Dan Gerlach!!

I do not attend ECU but I am a golden leaf scholar. I was able to experience the care dan has for everyone. He is an incredible person and is dedicated to created a relationship with everyone

UNC Systems should be spending their time on more pertinent matters. If his intentions had of been anything
like those he is being accused of, he would certainly not choose to exhibit them in such a public ECU “favorite hangout “

As an ECU alum, I think it’s terrible that the UNC system is punishing this man for living a normal life among the students of the university he leads. Let him work and set a good example for others.

C’mon the man is a human being. He was checking on students in their environment where they are comfortable. This is called leadership. I get that some don’t know what that looks like but this is it.
