City of Wonders has become much more than just a game to it’s thousands of players. It is a support group. It is a gathering place. It is a home away from home. It is, as its name implies, a city of wonders where people from all walks of life, from all over the world, virtually gather and talk, laugh, commiserate and share information. There really is nothing that doesn’t happen on the feed that swiftly speeds by on the left side of the gamer's screen while playing the strategic game. For some it is virtually the only contact they have with the outside world. Now , Playdom has announced that it plans to shut down the game on June 4th, 2012. We are starting this petition to implore Playdom to reconsider and to please keep City of Wonder alive for it’s loyal followers to keep playing.
