Our high school children need chorus and Mrs Kastner. It isn't fair to take this away from them. Some children truly love music and to sing. Not every child is an athlete and with this ridiculous decision, sports is
their only option. Unfair.

Emily Corcoran-Kastner has more love and devotion to her students than any teacher I have ever met! The thought that the BOE would take away someone who truly wants to work with middle & high school students and has gotten through to them and helped them grow is ridiculous! #KeepCorky She is Da Bomb!

Once again the BOE at North Arlington is trying to tear apart the music department. When will they realize that they can't get rid of music? Music is a necessity in people's lives. Some of my best experiences are due to the music department at North Arlington High School as well as at the Middle School. We have to keep Mrs. Kastner and keep the music department whole!

My son Joe went to North Arlington middle and high schools and music was always a major part of his life. Emily Corcoran was a big part of his musical education at both schools. She allowed him to play in the pit for freshman year's production and played every year to follow thanks to her. It encouraged him to have the wherewithal to contact the musical director at penn state where he attends college and audition for Rock of Ages where he was the only freshman to get a spot as lead guitar (only five people in the band) on stage in a major production. Both she and Mr Kastner fostered his musical ability and for that I am forever grateful. Music is so important in our schools and it would be a shame to let that, or Emily Corcoran go.

Having a chorus program in this highschool is so important, the BOE can't take away the things that are so important to us. This is a high school it shouldn't be a dictatorship. To take away Mrs.Corcoran and the chorus program would be a disgrace.

The arts are crucial. Taking them away would be detrimental. It is an important part of students education and lives.

Mrs.Corcoran-Kasner is honestly one of the most sweetest teacher I've ever met. I can tell she works hard at her job and enjoys her job. I had her as a band teacher back in middle school. I hate to see her leaving the NA high school. #keepcorky

Music is a huge and important part of people's lives, and she not be taken for granted. One person can and has made a huge impact on children's lives, and it's imperative that we recognize that.

I am signing this petition to support Corky. Mrs.Kastner is the greatest choral teacher I have ever met. She is the super sweet and extremely supportive. She is tremendously hard working and makes sure that every student in chorus feels that they belong. Taking her out of the high school and the middle school, and cutting out the choral program would be a horrible thing to do to the district. So many students find the choral program as their home away from home, just like I did. You become and family, and family should never be separated.
