My sister is one of the most kind-hearted, loyal people I have ever known. She puts 150% of herself into everything for the North Arlington music program, often at the expense of her own personal life. She doesn't see this as a sacrifice, though. She sees this as her job, to help her students perform to the best of their potential. To learn to be the best students, the best PEOPLE, they can be. Emily has grown to become a mentor and role model for so many of these young adults and is heavily responsible for growing the music program. She is a main reason as to why I myself became involved in music, as I grew up alongside her numerous hours of practicing clarinet and blasting the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack. I have never met someone more dedicated to something in my life. Teaching is her passion. Music is her passion. There is no one more deserving of teaching these children and I promise you, no one who finds it more rewarding either. I ask that you sign this and share this so that she may remain at her current position and continue to positively influence her students now and for many years to come.

This teacher has increased the size of her choir by an incredible factor. Almost a third of of the school is in one of her programs or marching band - and she works in two schools doing multiple jobs. Who makes these decisions?

Getting rid of Mrs. Kastner would be getting rid of part of the music department. Even though I graduated three years ago, I still live by things I was taught by both of my music teachers in high school, and Mrs. Kastner was one of them. Keep Mrs. Kastner!

Without Mrs. Corcoran teaching at the high school and guiding me in my crucial three years there I can't say I'd be the same person. She has helped and helped her students endlessly, showing them compassion and love when they needed it most. When it comes into question her ability to teach, she's phenomenal and second to none. She's done a wonderful job of the chorus Program seeing as the students are divided into 3 class periods and then further divided into different days as well. She always works for the best in her students for her class, and other classes as well. She is caring and loving and not having her teach at the high school would be a huge mistake. Teenagers are at a crucial time in their lives, and it can be a difficult time, but having Mrs. Corcoran be the person she is to those students is what truly is the difference maker. I would hate to see her be removed from something the students benefit from, and she loves to do. It's a shame that this is even being discussed at this time.

This is such unfair treatment to the glory that music has.

Mrs Kastner is more than just a teacher. She is one of the best Band/chorus teachers. She is teacher, friend, and like a mother to not only middle school kids but also the high school kids. Without her being band teacher many kids will QUIT. Keep Mrs Kastner

Mrs. Kastner is the only reason I stayed in band, without her I wouldn't have achieved much in high school. I wouldn't have been the drum major or the Tri M president. Mrs. Kastner gave me something to look forward to every day. She is a wonderful woman that has a heart for anyone in the school, whether it be the "jocks or geeks". Mrs. Kastner is the reason so many students have been ambitious to stay in music from middle school to high school. Without Mrs. Kastner, the chorus is nothing.

Mrs. Corcan is one of the most influential people in my life especially when it comes to caring about us and bringing out the best of our abilities. Having her moved out of the High school would be devastating to anyone who has gotten opportunity to know her. I wouldn't be where I am today without her and the choral/music program .

Music has helped me and taught me so much in my 3 years of highschool. I've been able to find not only myself but friends who I never thought I'd be friends with. Cutting the music / chorus is very dumb.

This is a fantastic woman who has had such a great impact in my life and got me to first start falling in love with the arts back in middle school. She isn't a person who can simply give up in a student and I won't give up on letting her gether moved.
