Does anybody know the factors that drove this decision that will have such a huge impact on our childrens lives. She has done all good things. I know my daughter is very upset by this. Why go and disrupt such a great program. We stand behind CORKY!

This program and it's teachers are a huge part of personal development to our children. Music is a form of expression! So many wonderful children, whom I know and love personally, thrive on this expression. They would be crushed without it. Please keep Mrs. Kastner aka "Corky"

The idea of a music educator is to educate and inspire. Emily does both of these with a stellar success. Having her as a director in theatre was amazing but as a band director, she is unmatched by many I know.

Students need programs that they enjoy and be committed to something that they enjoy. They also need teachers who care and are committed to give totally of themselves.

As a parent, I know how loved and valued she is among her students and parents. Her program offers a safe place of acceptance for many. Artists and mucicians need to also be represented and supported within the school not just athletes.

I know the Drum Majors of the 2016 North Arlington band (I am the drum major of another town in the football conference). Music is vital to our schools, and keeps so many of us motivated everyday- keep your students happy.

Countless studies have been conducted on the benefits of choral singing. A simple google search would show what a huge mistake cutting this program is, and the disservice to the students, whose education and development is being marginalized by such a decision. Here is one such study.

Mrs. Kastner should stay because during the winter concert and before we played we had to listen to the violinists and the chorus and both played amazing and when we played we also played amazing. She inspires me to play my trumpet in band and jazz band and sing in the drama club. So Mrs. Kastner should stay with the middle school and high school.
